Global Shares – Deloitte FinTech Company of the Year 2017 and Technology Fast 50™ Company 2018 – has announced the appointment of Britt Marie Kronqvist Merino as Director of Client Management, Nordics.
Prior to joining Global Shares, Britt Marie was Computershare’s Associate Director for Client Management in Europe. She started her career as Client Manager in Citi Smith Barney Global Stock Plan Services, which later was bought by Morgan Stanley and then acquired by Computershare in 2013.
During her thirteen-year career within Share Plans, she has been involved in a number of large global projects, implementations, and major corporate actions for flagship European companies within the industry.
I am delighted to be joining Global Shares at a time of great change and growth, and I look forward to playing a key role in expanding Global Shares’ presence in the Nordic market. I have lived in several European countries, but my heart still beats fondly for Finland and the Scandinavian countries.
These are extraordinary times for Global Shares and I’m very excited to have an opportunity to welcome Britt Marie to the team. Her expertise in developing and maintaining partnerships, and her focus on putting clients at the forefront of everything that she does will be a wonderful asset to our clients and Nordic footprint in the coming years. Britt Marie has a Master of Science (Econ) degree from Hanken School of Economics in Finland and has passed two of the three levels of the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation from Santa Clara University. She previously worked with Pearson textbook publishing where she managed the Nordic and Benelux markets. She lives in Barcelona and speaks fluent English, Swedish, Finnish and Spanish, in addition, she has knowledge of Danish, Norwegian and German.
