After a busy day of networking, panels and roundtable discussions at this year’s Equilar Summit in Boston, why not take the time to unwind and treat yourself to some of the best foodie experiences the city has to offer.
Grill 23 & Bar – For Top Notch Wagyu
With unrivalled steak, seafood and service, Grill 23 & Bar in Back Bay is a local gem. Spread over two stories dedicated to beef, this steakhouse is primed to serve up mouth-watering Grade A5 wagyu. If you’re somehow not quite sold yet, there’s also an impressive seafood menu, fantastic wine list and delicious desserts – with generous portions, so make sure to save some room. This spacious venue boasts a variety of private dining suites, perfect for a corporate function or business dinner. Making a reservation well in advance to avoid disappointment is recommended.
Trillium Brewing – For $1 Oyster Happy Hour
Located within walking distance of the Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum, you’re in for a treat at Trillium in Fort Point. This brewery boasts an expansive two floor taproom, full service restaurant and an excellent roof terrace – the ideal casual space to mingle some more following a busy day at Equilar. The beer selection here is second to none, with a long list of craft beers on tap that will cater to a wide variety of taste buds. Head to the taproom or enjoy the ambiance on the roof deck with a hoppy IPA or a smooth barrel-aged stout. The bar menu packs a punch too – and with $1 oysters during happy hour from 2-4pm Monday-Friday what’s not to love?
The Dubliner – For Something Casual
Just another Irish pub in Boston you say? Not exactly. Step inside this bustling bar in Downtown, and treat yourself to a feast of homely culinary delights. Quench your thirst on a pint of plain and savour a tasty pot pie, crispy fish and chips, homemade soda bread or possibly the best Irish stew this side of the Atlantic. The space works for big groups or dining alone, with live music on the weekends. The Dubliner is the perfect weeknight spot for a quick bite to eat before catching a game in the historic Fenway Park nearby, or even a concert at the Garden.
The Well Coffeehouse – For Downtime
If you’re in need of a pick me up and some desk-time, check out the great coffee and quiet cosy atmosphere at The Well in Downtown. It’s the perfect space to work remotely and catch up on some e-mails. Avail of the free Wifi or just recharge your social batteries over a cold brew and a freshly baked good or two. This local, East Boston cafe is the city’s only non-profit coffee shop – even more reason to support them and make a positive impact during your short stay in the city.
Regina Pizzeria – For The Perfect Cheese Slice
Don’t miss your chance to check out this local favourite in North End while you’re in town. There will almost certainly be a line, but hang in there, it’s worth the wait. The pizzeria has been open since 1926 so it’s no surprise that these guys know a thing or two about what makes a perfectly proofed slice. With mouth-watering, thin-crust pizza out of a brick oven and top notch bartenders, this is an ideal spot to wind down with a cold beer and a slice of margherita after a busy day of keynotes and networking.
